Who Made Campfires

I wrote “Who Made Campfires” in the summer of 2009 after a trip to Yosemite National Park.  After writing the story and working with several artists on the illustrations I started looking at publication options.  Self publication seemed like an decent option but I’d sort of always had it in my head that I wanted to make an mobile application.  I’d been slowly learning Objective-C and the iPhone SDK and the having the book finished really motivated to accelerate my learning.  It took about 3 months and a half dozen test applications for me to finally feel comfortable coding for the iPhone.  Several months later and I can happily say that the Who Made Campfires App is awaiting approval into the Apple store.
